I'm in the market for a 2 bedroom in Broklyn Heights or lay Slope and I'm starting to get the feeling that the big brokers undergo all gotten together and decided that anything nice that's over 1000 sq ft must get a million dollar asking price. Funny. I see a lot of these places sitting on the market for months but no one wants to cut or take a lower offer. We've bid in the $900s and been rejected even though there are no buyers at the ask. They're all terrified of having a couple of displace comps eat into the blind optimism that appears to be driving the market right now. And it's a 4th floor walkup which is not exactly first choice for a lot of families with small kids. It is a pretty street though and nice location. We selected this apartment because of its location. It is near to feature Creek elementary school (one of the best in Boulder). Grocery shops, bank, restaurants, liquor shops, ride shops etc are just across the street. There is a good... I undergo lived at Boulder Creek for the past year and my feelings on it are very mixed. The apartments are actually nice. Although some things fall apart, the maintenance guy always fixes it. The assistant manager and the leasing consultant are AWESOME. The manager, not so much.
